Meta Quest 3! VR and AR for the people.

It’s been some time since the interaction lab had opportunity to purchase a cool gadget. But after TD have explored the VR googles Quest 3 for 3D modelling and visualisation it was time to get a few for more generic exploration and experimentation. At the time of writing there isn’t much support on an advanced level, but the goggles have a couple of demos, games and the 3D drawing software Gravity sketch installed which is plenty to experience and explore for those that have never tried it.

A phone that folds!

We now have one of Samsungs foldable phones. It’s stupid expensive, but considering the interesting move to a soft screen that can be shaped it seemed like something that students might want to take a closer look at for possible future design ideas.

iPhone 13 pro, with LIDAR!

Aeropex open “bone conducting” headphones

A set of bluetooth headphones where the sound is projected into the ears in a way that leaves your ear canals open to hear the environment as well. It is, however, NOT real bone conducting technology. But still kinda neat experience.

Monogram Creative console
